As part of the Scientist activity badge, the Cubs have been using marshmallows and spaghetti to build the strongest tower they could. They then reviewed their work and considered what improvements could be made to their designs.
The Scouts recently held a troop forum to discuss some of the activities they would like to try over the coming months. He’s a flavour of what they’ve come up with.
The Beavers have been working towards their My Skills Challenge Award by decorating biscuits and learning how to neatly roll their neckers.
Some of the leaders have been out giving the coal tubs a quick tidy up so the bulbs will be visible when they come into bloom. If anyone would like to volunteer to help us keep the tubs looking tidy, please get in touch.
As part of their My World Challenge Award and their Cook Activity Badge the Beavers have been making pizza.
Thank you to the Warsop Neighbourhood Police Team who visited Beavers on Thursday 27 January. The Beavers loved it and had plenty of questions to ask. One of them tried the kit, some were handcuffed and they all enjoyed trying the sirens.
In fact, they were the most excited we’ve seen them since returning to Face-to-Face Scouting after lockdown.
